When communicating with suppliers in different countries it is important that what we say is what we mean. English is the official business language throughout the world but there are many times when an English word does not really mean what you think it means.
In the rear of my book - "Trade Shows from One Country to the Next", I include a Glossary of exhibit industry terms that world partners have reviewed and agreed are industry words they understand in English.
These words and terms will be translated into different languages for use on design drawings, fabrication drawings, and rfp requests for a price quotes for multi country communication.
The objective here is to quickly understand what we really mean when requesting a price that is needed in 2-3 days. Miscommunication can be costly.
